I have had very few "good" Tuesdays.
In my last post, I included my 2002 ruminations about how I believed, during some desperate times in India, that I was born on a Tuesday. I thought that was the reason my life had been so difficult (I was a broken person when I went to India in January 2002. India fixed me.). Nowadays I believe in the laws of karma and reincarnation (vs. thinking of them as a nice theory) and understand that I was burning off karma from past deeds.

I got into a fight with Greg on a Tuesday once. He'd moved us into the small room (at present, 49th st location) while there was a heat issue. Then it got fixed & the small room was TERRIBLE. Too cramped. I and others wanted to move back but he kept stalling. So one Tues, Katie & I had agreed in advance to practice just us in the big room. I was gonna move into the small only at the point where I'd want an assist.
ReplyDeleteWell.. he came in while we were in Surya Bs & was PISSED. He sort of went off a bit & I laughed in his face. I was startled, taken aback, and... puzzled.
He apologized later, saying, "Tuesday is fighting day."

ReplyDeleteGeesh - I just checked and found out I was born on a Tuesday. But I think I changed the course of my life by moving to NYC from Iowa the day after I graduated from college in the midwest and really started a new. I should try and figure out what day of the week that was.
